Windows XP Boot Disk

Does the "Reinstallation Disk" that comes with a system with Windows XP factory installed also act a bood disk after reformatting the hard drive? Can i test this by booting up with it without first reformatting the hard drive?
 
Probably.
Check your manual and/or contact your computer manufacturer for
details.
All manufacturers do it differently.
