Windows XP - ASP.NET Machine A...'s ???

J

J Butler

I recently changed a user Id on my XP computer, I noticed
a new user ID, only seen on this screen, not on the main
log in window, it is a limited user ID called ASP.NET
Machine A...'s account, I did not put it there, it was
not there on installation of XP or when I last changed a
account setting (about a year ago).

Is it a hacker or a virus or a normal XP thing?

If a hacker or virus how do I get rid of it, Norton does
not detect it?

Hope you can help

Regards

Jim

It's a normal account if you have added the newer dot net framework package
that was available at Windows Update site. It is a very limited machine
account and will be used by programs that implement that technology.
