I need to configure non-domain Windows XP clients to run nothing but a
remote desktop client on a Windows 2003 AD network. They will need to
run this RDP session in place of explorer.exe to ensure the user cannot
do anything but connect to this particular RDP session.

Can anybody suggest how best to achieve this please?

Thanks

Shared Computer Toolkit for Windows XP:

I'll have a write up on it shortly on my web site. You can really
screw down a desktop using this thing!

There's really no reason to try to replace explorer.exe with
mstsc.exe...if you lock it down with this toolkit, the user will not be
able to break out (i.e. task manager, right-clicking and log-off
options can be restricted).
