RDP to windows XP professional and windows 2003 SP1

I am using Windows Vista to connection to the following clients: Windows XP
Pro SP2 and windows 2003 SP1

I usally get the following:
"remote desktop cannot verify the identity of the computer you want to
connect to"

sometimes, it will allow me to connect but it will kick me off. the RDP
session.

Is there anything I can adjust on the XP pro SP2 or windows 2003? I have
RDP 6.0 client installed on XP and windows 2003.

Is Microsoft going to fix the older clients so that Vista will be able to
connect to XP/windows 2003?

When using the following option:

"Always connect, even if authentication fails" - it states it is less secure

Is the data still encrypted across any network? Is there any technet
articles on this topic or whitepapers?
