Hi,

My HP Pavilion ZE5170 laptopn real time clock is running
behind 2 seconds per hour. Also if I shutdown my laptop
the real time clock stops and when I turn it on again it
contains the time and date from the time I turned off.

Any ideas on what might be causing and how to fix it?

Thanks,

G. Gosling

Replace the cmos battery on the motherboard. The manual should tell you how
or a shop should be able to do it for you.

I'm no laptop expert but I'm pretty sure they have one. It keeps the clock
running when the computer is turned off.
