Windows XP and Java Applets

I wonder if anyone can help, I would like to know if you can view a jav
applet with no forms of java download from sun,just using standar
windows XP with the latest version of internet explorer, if there is
download can you tell me how big it is? Thank

MS Java VM was prohibited by a court decision. If you lack the MS Java, the
MS update site will refuse to give you an update for it. see
http://downseek.com/download/18598.asp (see the 'mirror' sites listed) for a
copy of an old version of the MS Java VM , then use the Update site for the
latest.
