Windows XP and HP CD-Writer Plus 6746C-L

I have tried everything to enable this CD-Writer. HP has been no help at
all. It worked fine under Millenium, but all I get is errors under XP. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am using XP Pro.

The writer may not work under XP. My HP 8600 refused and needed Roxio or
Nero installed for it to work. If it is possible for your model to work
with XP, the HP website should have the necessary information for doing so.
