HP CD Writer PLUS

I have an HP CD Writer PlLUS that is part of the HP
Pavilion 7855. I had to install a new hard drive and nor
in Windows XP professional operation system, I am unable
to write to or formate a CD in the D: Drive. Help.

Have you tried removing and reinstalling your CD writing software.
