After installing all critical updates on my computer, I
am now getting advertisements "Popping Up" whether I'm
online or not. My ISP provides "Popup" blocker software,
but somehow these ads seem to "go around" the "popup"
stopper software. This never occured before installing
the critical updates on my system. Is there any way to
stop these ads from appearing? I've tried setting
the "Privacy" settings to max, which seems to stop the
ads, however, it also prevents me from logging on to
certain web sites. I have also tried deleting "Cookies"
and "History"...but, that doesn't work either. Any
suggestions?

You've got spyware on your system. I suggest that you download and
install two programs to rid your system of the spyware- "Adaware" and
"Spybot Search & Destroy". Each one will eradicate your system of
spyware but there are times where one application will find something
that the other one doesn't.
