windows xp activation problem

I formatted my hard disk (laptop) today and reinstalled
the windows xp professional operating system (I used the
same system with the same key before and it worked well).
Unfortunately, everytime I clicked the activation link
computer didn't response. I am wondering why the winxp
cannot be installed in the same computer twice. Any
suggestions would be much appreciated.

It can be installed as often as you wish on the same computer:
Try the following two commands:

Start - Run - regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll (press Enter)

Start - Run - regsvr32.exe licdll.dll (press Enter)

Then try activation again.
