Hi all,
My appologies if this is not the correct group - I was unable to locate a
MS.public win2003 group etc.
I have a windows 2003 server on a small LAN - its a Domain Controller.
I have just joined another client machine to the domain - the server sees
the client - however I am having problems with my shared directory.
I use MS Money on the client machine and want to save the file to the
backups directory on the server - I had achieved this previously before
upgrading to 2003 etc.
I have set the directory in question to be a shared directory, and the
permissions on the both the share and the security tab are set to 'everyone'
/ 'full control'.
I can from the client machine browse to this directory. I can create a .txt
file for example in this directory - however in MS Money when I try to add a
transaction it tells me that it cannot enter that transaction etc -
presumably because of incorrect credentials or a sharing issue.
Has anyone got any information on shares for Windows server 2003? I know
this probably isn't the right group but it looks like it has a wealth of
knowledge - and 2003 seems very similar to XP etc...
Any help appreciated,
Regards
Robb
