I am having a problem with a 2000 client, but have seen
this in XP as well. I needed to recover some deleted
files from a system so I connected the hdd from the users
system to mine and ran my recovery s/w. No problem. When I
turned my pc back on after removing the user's hdd, I
could no longer log on to the syste, it gave me an error
about there being no paging file. I connected to my pc
from another pc using the computer management console and
looked under drive manager. There I saw that my system
drive, which used to be C:, was now D: and it wouldn't let
me change it! How do I change this back to C: so that
everything works again?

Thanks,
Paul
