windows xp/2000 setup interrupted

Hi,

I have a problem with my PC. HD formatted NTFS, I tried installing
windows 2000 pro , setup would copy files in an installation folder,
then pc will boot automatically, windows setup would not proceed.

Tried again this time with windows Xp pro cd, same senario, setup will
copy installation files into installation folder then suddenly PC will
reboot automatically and setup would fail.

How can i resolve this issue ?

Well that sounds like a hardware problem to me... As far as I know, this
could be caused by a video card issue, a ram issue or a motherboard issue.
Last time this happened on a computer I was working on it was the
motherboard that was faulty, but I have also seen memory and video cards
causing the same issue. Maybe someone else has seen alternatives to this
problem.
