Windows with 4 bit color, cannot change

Buggy

i was fine a coupe of boots and reboots ago and installed
all the updates and all the drivers for everything i had
plugged in.

now i'm in a 800x600 4 color mode and i haven't the
slightest clue as to why.

anyone please shed some light on this matter. Every
device works fine

You need to download and reinstall the latest drivers for your video card.
 
You may have a video card gone bad, but more likely it is a driver problem.
Try "removing" the card, reboot, and let Windows install new drivers.

If that doesn't work, go to the site of your video card manufacturer and
download drivers from there.

If there is still no joy, invest in a new video card from a different
manufacturer.
