Windows will not Shut Down

Windows 2000
5.00.2195
Service Pack 4

All latest updates and patches installed.

Now computer will not shut down. START - SHUTDOWN - OK
and then the computer just stays ON. Only way to power
down is to hold power button down.

Ouch!
 
Have you recieved an answer to this yet same thing is
happening to me i took the latest updates and system will
not completely shutdown sounds the same as your problem
