I just installed Windows 2000 service pack 3 and 4...now
my computer will not shut down. It keeps rebooting.
Any suggestion for a fix. Thanks

You're probably bluescreening . . .

By the way . . . the service packs are cumulative . . . you should've
installed ONLY SP4.

1. START in SAFEMODE (F8 at the opening DOS-looking start up screen)
2. RIGHT CLICK on MY Computer and choose PROPERTIES
3. Select the ADVANCED tab, then the STARTUP AND RECOVERY button
4. Uncheck AUTOMATICALLY REBOOT

Now, start normally . . . then when you bluescreen you can see the error and
work from their.

NOTE: If you do not see an error on a bluescreen . . . then possibly you
have a virus.
