windows will not shut down my computer

My computer use to shut down whenever i told it to shut
down. Now since i have upgraded it won't shut down the
power. windows will close down but it won't turn the
computer off. I tried to look for an optoin but it won't
happen. I know how to turn the computer off manually but
it is sometimes a hassle. please reply as soon as
possible.
