Hello, I have a PC Clone running WindowsXP Home SP1, its an AMD
AthlonXP+2500, 512Mb Ram, 60Gb HDD, and an "OPTORITE CD-RW CW5205".

The CD-RW is listed
in Device Manager as "OPTORITE CD-RW CW5205 SCSI CdRom Device", however it
is not a SCSI device, it is on the secondary IDE as Master with no other
device on the secondary controller, the problem I'm having is that anytime I
have a disk in the drive when i start up, windows will not start, I get as
far as
the Windows Logo screen before the login screen then nothing, I have to
remove
the CD then reboot, when there is no CD in the tray it boots fine, can
anyone help?

Henry

HANK: Be thankful you have a unit that powerful. Your D
and E drives are very rebellious if you don't learn the
protocol. Work with them awhile, be inventive and you
will see.
