If you're trying to access your Live.com email account with Windows Live
Mail, it's real easy.
Tools - Accounts - Add
Enter your email address & password, and you don't need to enter any server
names.

If you are really using Windows Mail, it's more difficult.
Windows Mail can only access POP3 or IMAP accounts.

To access Hotmail/Msn/Live accounts via POP3 (email is downloaded to your
computer):

Windows Mail is coded to reject Hotmail/Live email addresses, but you can
fool it by
entering a fake address ([email protected]), then renaming it after the
account is set up ([email protected]).

Do you have an email account? You need to get help from the provider of the
email service.

One more thing. Don't post complete email addresses such as (e-mail address removed)
in newsgroups, since you then give your email address to many spammers.

What type of email account ?
Hotmail account type(hotmail.com, live.com, msn.com) ?
Third party (yahoo.com, gmail.com, yourisp.com etc) ?

Who provided the email account ?

Has this email account ever functioned in the past on a different machine ?

Can you access the email account via the provider's web site ?

Note: do not post your email address, but do informs us the of the account server(e.g. @<something>.com )
