I am currently logged on as an administrator account and locked my self out
from c:\ by making mistakes on the security tab under properties.
Everytime I try to open up my c:\, it says "c:\ is not accessible. Access is
denied."
I haved tried system recovery in the safe mode but I could not even get it
running because the access was denied.
Is there any way that I can get my stuff on the c:\??

Hi,

Can you please let me know whether you are currently able to login to the
system.
If yes then you can go ahead and take the ownership of the drive and apply.
Once that is completed then you will be able to change the security
permissions.

Thanks,
Buddy :)

Hi Sung,

Did you try to take ownership?
it can be taken by Right click on C: drive --> Click properties.
Then Click on Security Tab.
Select advanced
Click on Owner Tab.
Select you user name in the cahge owner to tab.
Check Replace owner on subdirectories.
Then Click On Apply, Ok..

After this completes you should be able to access the folders.

Thanks,
Buddy.
