Windows Vista Upgrade Messed up my Laptop

I just used the windows vista upgrade anytime disc and it finished going
through the installation process and then it came to the welcome screen and i
signed in. Then a installation program popped up and then a NIHelper.exe
window popped up and asked me to allow it to run, then Setup.exe asked me to
allow it to run so I clicked allow for both of them and then the computer
restarted. Once it was back up, it was at the welcome screen so I signed in,
and the same windows popped up and i would click allow and then my computer
would restart AGAIN.

The next time i clicked cancel for the NIHelper.exe and setup.exe and it
still restarted my computer. Then I tried system restore but it won't let me
restore to the point before i installed the upgrade so now I'm out of luck
and I have no idea how to remove the upgrade because now I can't get around
the installation screens when I start up my computer.

If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated

If this is a Toshiba, I'd contact them for help. It appears to be "bonus"
stuff Toshiba added to the Windows Setup process. Neither of these happen
on a store-bought copy of Vista nor a copy of Vista Anytime Upgrade from HP.

NIHelper.exe

If you literally mean NIHelper.exe then according to Google that is a
virus and you are in trouble.

If you meant NHelper then I don't know since all the results are not in
English .....

I thought I'd posted to you that if you really mean NIHelper.exe Google
shows it as a virus and you are in trouble.

If you mean NHelper.exe then Google gives some references but none in
English .....

Maybe you asked the same question somewhere else? Or there's a time lag
in the system.
