Unable to upgrade from Vista Home to Vista Premium

The Vista Home Basic edition is activated.

I run the "WindowsAnytimeUdate.slupkg-ms", and then it 's asking to insert
the disk "Windows anytime upgrade" . I accept the "setup.exe" and then I
click on "installation now". Then it's asking to "download important updates
for the installation". After this I "accept the terms of license" and then it
is asking if I want to upgrade. It is checking for compatibility and then
starts the update.
The first line "copying windows files" its O.K. (100%), but the the second
line "collection of files" stops at 20% with this message: "windows update
found an error and cannot be continue"

Could you please help me?

Not sure what you are doing from your description, although it was pretty
well set out. You have Vista Home Basic and its been activated online. Then
you set updates. You said this was set as anytime.

Here I lost track because you say it asked for what, a CD. Is the CD you
refer to your original Vista CD because from there you appear to be taking
about an installation process. That is not an online update.

Ian, thank you for your reply
I will be more specific.
I bought Vista Home Basic CD and I installed them. After this I activated
them on line, and later I wanted to upgrade to vista home premium.
So I order the license on line, but in order to upgrade vista you need
another CD labeled "windows anytime upgrade". So step 1: you have to
download form microsoft this file:"WindowsAnytimeUdate.slupkg-ms", and step
2: you must have the cd labeled: "windows anytime upgrade". After this you
can star the upgrade.
