"Everyone" hates Vista? I don't, and many people I know, including

couldn't do Aero because of Intel's POS 915 chip set, but a new Video card
fixed that. No big deal. ...AND, no, you DON'T want to install ANY OS
"over" another. (Upgrades, downgrades or whatever) Clean Installs is the
ONLY safe way to go, always has been! Don't know what hardware you choose
to go with, but you should ALWAYS EXCEED minimum system requirements with
any version of windows, otherwise you can pretty much guarantee it to run
slow. Has been that way from the very beginning of windows. (Yeah, I was
there in the beginning. Showing my age I guess)

I still have some Win 3.0 and 3.11 floppies would you like a copy? oops
that's not allowed..... and DOS 5.0.......and in my "junk" box some old
Commadore 64 games....

A month and a half ago I purchased a brand new HP PC with Windows Vista..

After just a couple of weeks working on it, and having problem after
problem, I started asking everyone I could find. Espically Office Depot,
Staples etc employees.

Everyone HATES Vista. It just sucks.

It crahes a lot, really a lot. It is very unstable, and doesn't work with
most hardware additions. Plus every single program that I have loaded and
tried to use tht programs help function, Vista does not support it and now
no help from all the programs.

I spent over $1,000.00 on this new PC.

Finally today, another PC, ordered from eBay that I bought arrived. It of
course has Windows XP on it.

I am now going to put the brand new machine with Vista for sale on ebay.

I am so far behind in my work because Vista ran so slow and had to reboot
several times a day. I can't wait to get back on with Windows XP.

The people at Midrosoft who designed Vista, really need to get another job,
designing operating systems is obviously not anything they are good at.

Anyone thinking of upgraded your existing PC from Windows XP to Vista, DON'T
DO IT!

You will regret it.

It is so bad and hated by so many users, Microsoft really should RECALL
everysingle copy of it, and then burn it. They should give Windows XP to all
the computer makers, like HP and others so they can biuld a new master

Really...Did you know that the VAST majority of Vista users are not having
any problems at all..I will put my Vista machine up against any xp machine
and win....If you were really having all those problems did you try posting
a detailed question in hopes that you would get it fixed...We cannot help
you if you do not wish us too

Vista runs well on the right hardware, with the right drivers and software.
You need to work the problems out with HP, since this is an OEM
installation. Go back to the beginning before any 3rd party software is
installed, remove all the crapware that get's put on the installation by the
OEM, and work it until you get a stable running system. Then image the
system to an external hard drive using Acronis True Image Home version 10.
After that start adding software and hardware testing in between each
change, and rectify any problems before moving on. Frequently image the
system as you go along.

Other than these suggestions no one can provide you with focused help as
your post is to vague, other than to say the system has problems. It could
be hardware, drivers, the installation by HP, 3rd party software you
installed or a combination of all of them.

Do not blame the OS here. When you get a new system from a computer
manufacturer it should run well right out of the box. If it did not then
start with HP. If it ran well but problems developed look at the changes
you made or at hardware failure or both.

You turn to them for advice? You have just destroyed any hopes you ever had
at
credibility....

Everyone HATES Vista. It just sucks.

I, for one, do not "hate" Vista. I find it to be stable, but I am not yet
convinced that it is
the right OS for me. There is nothing inherently wrong with with Vista.
It crahes a lot, really a lot. It is very unstable, and doesn't work with
most hardware additions.

You cannot blame a new OS for not working with your old hardware.

Plus every single program that I have loaded and
tried to use tht programs help function, Vista does not support it and now
no help from all the programs.

Can you cite an example? every program that I have used with Vista, even
those not expressly
compatible with Vista, had fully functional help.
I spent over $1,000.00 on this new PC.

You probably spent more for your car. Can you diagnose and fix every
problem with you rcar yourself?
When your car has a problem, and you have to take it to a mecanic and have
it diagnosed and repaired,
do you tell your mechanic "I spent $20,000 on this car!". Of course not.
Finally today, another PC, ordered from eBay that I bought arrived. It of
course has Windows XP on it.

Wise choice. Let someone that has the ability to deal calmly and rationally
with it.
I am so far behind in my work because Vista ran so slow and had to reboot
several times a day. I can't wait to get back on with Windows XP.

And we can't wait to hear the end of your whining and rants.
The people at Midrosoft who designed Vista, really need to get another
job, designing operating systems is obviously not anything they are good
at.

Okay, then how about you desing one yourself? Your statement makes is
appear that you believe that
you know more about designing and building an OS than they do.
Anyone thinking of upgraded your existing PC from Windows XP to Vista,
DON'T DO IT!

Why? Do you think everyone is an idiot like you?
You will regret it.

On the other hand...you'll regret someday not moving on to Vista....
It is so bad and hated by so many users, Microsoft really should RECALL
everysingle copy of it, and then burn it.

Perhaps when you get back to your planet, you can organize a movement to get
that done.
Here on Earth, I think Vista will stay. Be sure to drop a line and say
goodbye before you
leave our fair planet. I hope you enjoyed your brief stay here....

They should give Windows XP to all
the computer makers, like HP and others so they can biuld a new master
restore CD set to install XP over vista for all those machines sold with
Vista pre-installed.

Do you think the OEMS could not have done this already if demand was high
enough?
You show your complete lack of understanding of the market when you make
claims like
that.
There is only one way to describe Vista, it is gargage. That simple

And the only way to describe your post is childish (as are you), plain and
simple.

support? Or did you have problems and just decide Windows is the cause of
all the problems? Could have been hardware problems right out of the box.
I've seen it, and had that sort of failure my self. Sucks, but it happens.
In any case, enjoy your XP machine.

Well, geez, sure, some folks are having a less than exuberant experience
with Vista. And for those folks, yeah, Vista sucks. And... there ARE folks
who are having a good experience with Vista. (Count me in that group.)

I can only assume, since you spent approximately one grand on your PC, that
you got Vista Home Premium and your box has at least 1GB RAM. You didn't
disclose those details in your post. Assuming I'm correct, then you would
need to disclose, further, your hardware specs for anyone in this NG to be
able to assist you.

There's an update that fixes the Help system issue. Guess you didn't find
that in your attempts to fix the issue. (Assuming any attempts were made.)

I belong to the group that subscribes to the theory that many immature 3rd
party drivers can cause major headaches, even on new OEM boxes. You may not
subscribe to that theory, but... MS is not responsible for 3rd party
drivers, no matter what any Linux trolls or bull-in-a-china-shop XP fans may
posit. Pfffflbbbbtttttt!!!!

Guess all of the above is moot. You've decided. You've moved on. This post
is really only for those that might read your BS and wonder if it's true.
The Linux trolls will, no doubt, respond that it is true and you must get
your butt over to the Ubuntu site to get your copy of Heiny Hole or whatever
the latest release is named... Feisty Fawn, whatever. The XP trolls will
tell you all about their predictions and how you will rue the day you ever
entered the world of Vista. Guaranteed.

Life goes on.

It is OK to hate Vista. But a real owner of a new PC in that situation would
merely reformat and put on a different operating system and not take the
loss of selling the new PC. I doubt this post is from a real user with real
issues.

The OP should at least ask the right people about the problems.. the right
people do not exist in the major computer stores.. HP have support staff and
webpages, and should be the first port of call, especially if the computer
is brand new..

It also helps to outline the problems rather than just say that Vista
sucks.. also, do you really believe that the OP is going to sell a brand new
$1000 HP computer that is totally screwed up on eBay?

No, it's not, Vista is an inanimate object, nothing more that a bit of
software. Hating such means the OP needs to spend considerable time

I doubt this post is from a real user with real issues.

But it's from a real troll with real trolling issues, just another one
