I try to send an email, and this is the error message I get, despite having
the correct details for my outgoing and incoming....
These are my settings

(e-mail address removed) (email address)
mail.o2.co.uk (incoming)
smtp.o2.co.uk(outgoing)

This is the following error message I get, despite all my settings being
correct:-

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed);'.

Just today I have the same problem. It worked fine on Friday but now I can
only receive emails and not send.

Did you figure out the problem? Let me know if you did. I can't figure
this out.

You have an illegal character in the address '(e-mail address removed);'
Remove the semicolon at the end.

If you would like some custom help, right-click on the error message, copy,
then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without that complete error message.

It looks like you may have a period (.) after the .com in that email
address.

I tried it and got: "550 5.1.1 - Invalid mailbox: (e-mail address removed)"

Either you mistyped that email address, or the recipient no longer has
that email address.
