Windows Vista iso file downloaded but not visible

I have downloaded the Windows Vista iso file (x86) to my desktop using the
akamai download manager successfully. However, when I browse to my desktop, I
am unable to see the file. When I run the download mamager again, in the
"save as" dialog box, I can see the downloaded file when I browse to the
desktop. So, I can see the file in the Akamai download manager's "save as"
dialog box, but I can't see it in the real desktop, I am also unable to
download the file by using Internet Explorer 7, because i get an error saying
"Internet Explorer was unable to view the webpage". I run Windows Vista Beta
2. Any help would be appreciated.

This exact thing happened to me too. Different file and too tho. What I did
was simply to start the app that would see the downloaded file, then move it
to another location.

See it that does the trick for you as well. Peculiar thing tho...
