Windows Vista Email IMAP Message Delete Function

In Outlook Express when you would delete an IMAP message, a strikethrough
would appear on the message which you could then purge.

In Windows Email or Live Mail, instead of the strikethrough appearing, the
message just goes away as if it has been deleted.

Is there a setting that has to be tweaked so that the strikethrough can
appear on the message?

On Windows Mail, make sure you're not using the Deleted Items Folder for
IMAP accounts (Tools|Options|Advanced). On Windows Live Mail, the same
setting applies and you also need to add a checkmark to "Show Deleted
Messages" from 'Vies|Show or Hide".
