Windows Vista DVD to CD

Hi all,
Greetings,

I have Windows Vista DVD but don't have DVD Drive to run it. Can I make its bootable CDs. Pls tell me the solution. I have Windows XP SP2(professional) & I want to install Vista. Which Version will be good. And can I upgrade to winvista without loosing my current settings of XP.
