Vista Bootable DVD

Hello, I bought a new DELL Laptop D1520gi which came with Windows Vista(Home
Edition) installed. Now i would like to make a bootable DVD for Vista from it
so that i can restore in case of any corruption. I noticed that there is a
recovery Drive D. Can any one please let me know what this drive is. Whats it
used for? If i burn the contents of this drive to a DVD, will i be able to
install vista from it in case if anything goes. Please let me know on this.

Also if the recovery drive is not for that purpose, can anyone please let me
know how to make a bootable vista DVD from my laptop.

Thanks,

That recovery drive is for you to hit an F key at startup to do a Recovery,
and also, for you to make Recovery DVD in case of total HD failure.

Each OEM, Dell in this case, has a different way to make recovery disks.

The instructions will either be in a manual that came with the computer, or
a Vista Recovery DVD already packaged that came with the computer.
Or click Start> and look in the Menu to see how to make it
Check the assorted disks that came with it!

If not, check on Dell's website for the instructions on how to do it, or
contact Dell directly.
