Windows Vista Auto Backup

I believe that the above should only backup altered files and folders from
the previous backup. This does not seem to be the case as backups are using
20+ Megs of DVD discs and hours to perform. Do I need to change some
settings or is the system seeing all files having been changed by updates ro
virus scans etc. Any help welcome

What you need to start doing is use the Backup files and folders feature
instead of automated backup in Backup feature. Also, it would be recommended
you invest in an external hard disk, since those DVDs add up over time and
the Complete PC Backup feature in Vista if you using Ultimate or Business is
easier to manage.

I think it does what you want if you schedule automatic backups once
a day but not if you schedule them once a week or less often.
