Windows Vista and MDAC version

What version of MDAC can be installed on Windows Vista Ultimate? I have
tried repeatedly to install V2.7 as well as V208 unsuccessfully. After
decompressing the files, nothing happens..So I need your help.

You cannot install any prior MDAC release on Vista - it comes with its own
release of MDAC core components, identified as VISTA_RTM.
