Windows DAC 6.0

Hello, I am trying to find the cause of an error that occurs in Vista
Ultimate when opening an application. In researching the error a suggestion
was made to install or repair MDAC 2.8, but of course Vista comes with its
own (Windows DAC 6.0). I can't seem to find any article (technet or
otherwise) that shows how to reinstall or repair Windows DAC 6.0. Does anyone
know how to repair or reinstall (or upgrade) that component in Vista? Any
information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Regards,

Randy

Sorry, yes, including the error message may help. Here is the main part of it:

Microsoft .NET Framework

An unhandled exception has occurred in a component of your application. If
you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to
continue.

Conversion fom string "" to type 'Boolean' is not valid.

I should also have noted that, if I disable UAC and/or choose the "Run As
Administrator" option in the shortcut Properties of the app it seems to run
fine.

Thanks again.
