Windows Updates

I want to be able to have my users do windows updates on their own pc's but I
cannot do that unless they have admin rights on the domain? Any suggestions,
of course I do not want this?
 
They only need admin rights on their local PCs, not on the domain ...
However, I'd HIGHLY recommend you look into managing Windows Update through
Group Policy, instead of assuming the security issues surrounding making end
users admins over their PCs ...
 
We are currently on NT 4 server, we are upgrading our servers this year? How
can I use group policy to help me if we are on an NT domain?
