Windows Updates: now getting Popups?!

I just purchased a new pc...it's a good life now!! I went
in right away to download all the critical updates and
now I constantly get these crazy popup things from
messengers on how to kill popups?

I understand these are a result of some of or one of the
Windows Updates....how do I kill the popup killer ads?

They are killing what can be a great relationship between
me and my new best friend!!

You understand incorrectly. These pop-ups have nothing to do with Windows
Updates. They are a creation of the same lowlifes who brought you junk mail
and telemarketing.

To stop the pop-ups, activate Internet Connection Firewall (directions in
Help and Support). Eventually, you may wish to replace ICF with a
third-party firewall, for increased functionality.
