Windows Updates for Vista

T

tony parry

For some reason Updates in Vista is no longer working. After initial
installation ( of Vista ) I was able to download & install security updates.
But for the past week or so, the latest updates ( I get message that there
are 3 updates totalling 1.8Mb) are available to download. When I click
install, no progress is made and update times out informing me that 3
updates failed to install.

Any ideas??

Got the same problems here, i got 4 important updates that won't install.
It is downloading them and getting ready to install, but they all fail, with
no error code.
Hope there is someone to help out.

I am having the same issue. I am running the 64bit version. Are you all
running 32bit or 64bit?

I am currently using Build 5536 which is only X86, (Pre RC-1), there is no
X64 version.

I have not seen any updates at all.

Well, I don't see the build mentioned, but critical security updates were
released for Vista BETA 2 and interim builds 5456 and 5472. I know that
Windows Defender definitions were released for 5536 and 5600, and you can
only receive those through Windows Update.
