Windows Updates Error

I’m running WinXp Pro sp2 and when I go to Windows Updates I get the follow
Error number: 0x80072F0D.

I was receiving the error before installing sp2.

I’ve looked everywhere for the error but can’t fine any information.

Anyone have any ideas?

Check your Firewall to see whether that is blocking access! If you make
a change to your Firewall (as I did) you may need to reboot for it to
take affect.

It's not the firewall. We have over 200 computer running WinXP Pro on a local
domain. We have an SUS server that pushes out the updates. But, if we have a
computer that we’ve had to re-image we’ll go to Windows Updates to make sure
that image has all the security updates. Sometimes, but not always we’ll
receive the 0x80072F0D error when we go to Windows Updates. There’s nothing
wrong with the image because we’ve used the same image without any problems.

We didn’t have any problems with Windows Updates until Microsoft made the
changes to Windows Updates around the same time sp2 was released.

I did a fresh install of my computer about six months ago. I didn’t have a
problem with Windows Updates until Microsoft made the changes.

It just seems like there would be some documentation on this error somewhere.
