it shows the little windows update downloading icon on my
taskbar but it says downloading 0%. and i cant click on
it or anything. when i try to shut it down from the task
manager, it just starts right back up. anybody know what
to do?

i meant the icon is in my system tray and that it's stuck
there. i havent changed any of my update settings, so i
dont know what happened or how it happened.

Well, since no one was able to help me, I thought I'd help
myself. I went into the services.msc program, and stopped
automatic updates. Then I went into the
c:\windows\softwaredistribution folder and deleted all
contents of the Datastore and Download folders. Went and
restarted automatic downloads and that fixed the problem.
