Windows Update keeps reminding me to update my computer with KB828026.
However, this has update has already been installed 6 times, as listed in
the installation history. How do I stop this?

This affected quite a few people. You may like to read more about KB828026
and its recurring offer for download after apparent successful
'installation' in the windowsupdate newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsupdate
Last time I checked there were more than 180 matches to my search using
[Find] and "828026" as the search term. The following is of particular
relevance:

By the way, please start a new thread, i.e. press Send or New Post, not
Reply. This thread started one month ago and has long been presumed 'dead'.
It was, in any case, on auto update. Use a more focused Subject line, say,
KB828026 Repeated Offer For Download.
