When i scanned for updates, there was only one "critical" security update
and i inadvertantly clicked the "remove" button...when i went back to
windows update and clicked scan for updates it would only go to 33% and then
froze...i tried several times but each time it got to 33% it would hang up.
Would have to use task manager to "end program"... any help would be
appreciated...thanks in advance R. E. (Gene) Foltz

Hi Ronald,
1.Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. On the Advanced tab, clear the Use HTTP 1.1 check box.
4. Select the Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections check box.
5. Attempt to open the Windows Update site again.
6. If you are still experiencing this problem you can try selecting both
the HTTP 1.1 check box and the HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections check
box. This may resolve the issue.
