system configuration

when going into system configuration/startup, is there anything that would
cause problems if i disabled one thing at a time. . .? need to find what is
causing the "critical stop" sound when loading system tray..

As long as what you're unchecking is on the Startup tab, generally, no. No problems. Be careful disabling anything on the Services tab, unless you know what you're doing. You can render a machine unbootable.
