Windows Update

VISTA PREMIUM O/S

I keep getting updates notifications and downloads from Windows Update for
Office 2007. I do not have Office 2007 on my computer. I cannot get rid of
the updates as they constantly keep notifying me that I have new updates.
Please advise procedure for stopping Windows Update from downloading these
same updates.

Did you used to have it on there or install some related component of it
that might be confusing WU?

In any case, go into WU and on the left side choose "Change Settings" so
that you can uncheck "Use Microsoft Update."
 
Or right click on the update and select "hide".
