windows update

I am working on windows 2000 advanced server. I am working on sub-domain for
example ab domain( sub domain ab.xyz.com).First i removed ab domain server
from rest of all domain/network and I attached a dsl modem on its rj-45
socket. On this server i did a windows update and after the update got over,
I am seeing that my add remove program cannot be opened, neither configure
your server can be opened. I reinstalled internet explorer 6.0 and
reinstalled sp4 on this machine but the above snap-ins cannot be opened. i
have exchange 2000 server installed on this machine.
