Windows update

When checking update status I get error code 0x80240030. I have tried
resolutions recommended but they don't work. Anyone any ideas?

Try going to microsoft home page,click om microsoft update,install the
software,this upgrades windows update...Also,open internet options,settings,
view objects,R.click each one at a time,select update.Windows update is in
thier,it may be damaged...
