Windows Update - Window too short to agree...

M

Melissa

I am trying to do the Windows Update... I get the system
scanned and all the way to the place where you have to
agree to the license... The window that Microsoft has is
too short to view the I agree button... So, I cant agree
to their license and i can't download their updates from
their online scan...

So - I look for ways to contact support... Only thing i
can find is pay MS 100.00 for support... Or another
section, pay MS 35.00 for help... And, I try to fill out
the customer feedback form... And I get up to 82% filled
out and it then goes to the 47% filled out section...

Soooo not only can i NOT download the security updates,
but I cannot TELL MS about the problem... So - I am
posting it here... Maybe someone has a creative solution
to this...

Or knows of a way to contact MS without going through all
of this hassle... Im not PAYING them to fix THEIR
problems...

Thank you,
Melissa Walker

On the blue bar at the top of the agreement dialogue (I'm
English) at the left is the IE logo, click this, click
move and use your cursor keys to move the window up as far
as you need. Hit 'enter' when you have moved the window
high enough. Alternatively change your screen res up a bit.

Usually you can press the key combination alt-A. This
will 'press' the I Agree button. Can do the same for any
entry with an underlined letter. Just hold ALT and tap the
letter that is underlined.

Melissa;
Right click the Desktop, click Properties.
Click Settings tab, click Advanced button.
Set dpi to 96dpi
Or press Tab key.

This is a royale pain, and results as Jupiter has
indicated from one having selected to use large
fonts. Hopefully some day _soon_ MS will get
this fixed so it behaves like the license agreement
dialog at Office Update where there is a third
scrollbar to the far right.
It really pains me to go back to standard fonts on
my 1600x1400 laptop and then try to read !!
