Windows update stopped my Antivirus

I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall windows xp.
I then renstalled all my data and applications including
my Panda antivirus. All were working fine, until that is,
I downloaded and installed all windows XP critical
updates. After that, my Panda antivirus could'nt update
and would'nt even scan. Does anyone know why and how to
deal with this problem? Thanks

Uninstall, then reinstall, your antivirus program.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I did reinstall the
antivirus, but same problem.
