Windows update service is unavailable

In System under Automatic Update my screen is whited out
with this message "Windows update service is unavailable."
How do I get automativ update functional??

Try again tomorrow. No joke - sometimes Windows Update is simply
unavailable. Perhaps Microsoft is working on the software, or perhaps
they're getting ready to add a new update. No worries, it will be back
pretty soon.

when windows update is unavailable some times you can
still get windows catalog and work from there
