"Windows Update" Question

When windows update downloads fixes/updates, is there a default folder that
it uses for the downloaded files? If so, please let me know where?

Yes there is and once the update is done it erases those files that it
downloaded..........but keeps track under the XP/Windows?? folder
called..$NTservicepackuninstall. Each one corelates to a specific upgrade by
upgrade number just in case you wish to uninstall that upgrade.What is it that
you wish to do??
