Windows Update Malfunction

The following updates fail to install-
Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)
2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773)

As these are required to enable all future updates, I am
in a real fix.

Any help is appreciated.

If you install from Windows Update, download and install BITS 2.0
from here and see if that works better:

Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0
and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773)
