What is the Malicious Software Removal Tool

I have recently had an auto update windows xp which when completed informed
me that the Malicious Software Removal Tool had been installed successfully.

What is it, where is it, and how do i use it?

Answered my own question. It runs automatically when downloaded. Results can
be found in a file called mrt.log.
