Windows Update Icon will not go away -

Windows Update Icon is not going away. When rolling the
cursor over it, it says: Downloading Updates: 0% It
never changes the %.

I can not click on the icon to exit out of it.

How can I get it to go away? Please reply directly to my
email address. Thanks!

Kari;
Turn off Automatic Updates:
Right click My Computer
Click Properties
Click "Automatic Update tab"
Click OK.
Note: Since Automatic Update will be off, you need to periodically
check Windows Update to help keep your computer secure.
