Hi there!
I'm a computer technician and at work I have to install several windows xp.
In each one of these I must install every hotfix available at windows
update. I've already downloaded them and copyed to a cd. Made a batch file
to install them in numerical order, one other in windows update order, etc.
Every time I finish using one of them, I run windows update (just to make
sure everything is allright). And... surprise!!!! It seems that some of my
updates have not been installed (but they were!) as the apear in the "hotfix
to install" list. Can anyone tell me the order in wich I must install the
updates?

Thanks!

.
There is no order that they need to be installed in.

WINDOWS UPDATE
If you find that the Windows Update Web site lists
updates that you have already previously installed, it
may be because the update did not register correctly. You
should delete the registry key associated with the update
and then reinstall the update. Here's how to delete the
key:
On the Windows Update site, note the KB article number
(six digits) that's mentioned in connection with the
update you had installed.
Start your favorite Registry Editor and navigate to the
following key:
HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\
SP\
Click the entry that corresponds to the KB or Q number
noted in step 1.
Click the Edit menu, then click Delete. Click Yes in the
dialog box.
Exit the registry editor and restart your computer.
Reinstall the update
